Mad Rock Climbing is issuing a voluntary recall for a small quantity of Mountain Mama Harnesses sold after April 6th, 2021.
These batches of harnesses were manufactured with webbing that have been found to be stiffer than normal. This may cause the webbing to creep and slide which can loosen the straps while climbing if the straps are not under tension.
Consumers should immediately inspect their Mountain Mama Harness for the two batch codes below.
If you have a harness that matches the batch code and year above, stop using it immediately and contact us for a full refund. Unfortunately, no replacements are available at this time.
Mad Rock received a report of harness loosening with no injuries. The product team was able to recreate the scenario in-house.
