D2.ONE HV

Used them for indoor bouldering and j couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Perfect amount of softness and they look absolutely amazing. This is a beautiful work of art from madrock. They out preform my la sportiva and they are $70 cheaper.

Simply lovely

Have tried so many other brands but always come back to the Drone 2.0 HV. The heel precision and the way they handle aggressive, overhung projects is unmatched. They are the ultimate workhorse for a high-volume grind. Can’t wait to get this fresh pair on some real rock—nothing else feels this dialed in on the wall.

Absolutely amazing shoe, I got my street shoe size at 12.5 and they are insanely comfortable but also locked in and don’t come off during my sessions. I used to have a pair of scarpa drago xt but they were insanely uncomfortable and left scars on both of my big toes so I really like the fact that I don’t have to downsize with the drone 2.ones and wear shoes that actually mold to my feet instead of shoes that force my feet to be molded into them. Heel and toe hooks are equally goated on this shoe which I love. You can really dig into tiny footholds with the talon toe box and the rubber feels like I’m so secure and not slipping off at all. 10/10 especially when you consider the price and they delivered them extremely quick I live in Florida and I ordered on a Monday afternoon and they were here Wednesday afternoon which is insane considering California is across the country from Florida. Awesome shoe

For the past 2 months I've been buying, trying on, and returning many climbing shoes trying to find some that fit my weird feet. I have a wide and long foot but narrow heal, and my big toe is by far the longest. The D2.ONE LV (size 12.5) was better in the heal but nearly impossible for me to wear as it was way too narrow. The HVs (size 12) have space in the heal but fit way better overall. Also got the Remora Pro (size 12), which are smaller in the same size, and were much more painful to break in. They are also way too soft for some tiny foot holds, at least for me, so I bought the Drone 2.1 HVs and they're great so far. I do only indoor bouldering at an intermediate/advanced level. Also I know people with non-weird feet who love these shoes too, just for the record haha.

They are sticky like glue on the volumes. Also my hoe took game goes crazy now high key.

Great all-around shoes! I have the Sharks too, and I went up half a size compared to Sharks.

Was expecting better based on things I’ve heard/read. Rubber is not good and deteriorated alot after one session.

I LOVE these shoes.
I'm a 39 EU (8.5 US) in women's in street size. I'm probably between 39 and 40 in reality. I bought these in a 40 EU (9 US W) and my toes are comfy, the heel is TIGHT AND AMAZING. The only shoe out there with a properly tight toe except for the Scarpa Arpia V, a beginner shoe. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere if you have small heels.

In other shoes my size, my pinky toe and knuckle of my big toe is screaming and the heel on the shoe is terribly baggy and collapses on heel hooks and looks so discouraging—and heel hooks are my favorite.
I've tried on every climbing shoe brand in store except tenaya and unparallel just because the stores didn't carry them.

Good all around shoe

Such a strange shoe. Both stiff and soft at the same time. Can feel holds too much mid forefoot but not at all at the toes. Additionally all toes are downturned except the big toe, which is where the power is.

Overall shoe feels like it’s just too many compromises to be great.

The shoes themselves exceed expectations, great rubber, great sensitivity, overall good quality. The sizing is great, I personally got shoes half a size down from my street shoes, and they fit perfectly after breaking in. Shipping was good as well, came on the day it estimated. Will absolutely be back again to buy

Great shoes, amazing rubber. Only problem is i feel like the foot size chart was a little bit off. And the foot box is tight in some areas? Maybe i need to wear it more.

Wow. This is my new favorite shoe. The fit is absolutely perfect, feels like it is shrinked-wrapped to my foot. Better than my Skwamas and Dragos that I also love.

Fits like a glove and has the sensitivity that the drone 2.0 lacks.

They are the best

yay!! finally found the shoe for me :) i have low volume Egyptian feet and these in the HV model fit perfect. sizing chart i found accurate (+ .5 measure size as i am a sock wearer and probably wouldn’t have wanted to downsize any further). for reference i’m a sz 37 in skwamas and i got these in a 5.5M

Favorite shoe by a long shot

A must have.

First pair of Mad Rock shoes of any kind, coming from Scarpa Instincts same size worked perfect (street shoe US 11 in Mens, climbing shoe EU 42.5). Insane these shoes are under $200, they are perfect well rounders for all types of bouldering and I dont think there are better shoes out there for technical/overhung compression style bouldering. Great for gym climbing, board climbing, smearing, etc. Comparing them to the instincts, I only slightly prefer the instincts for board climbing and very very small foot holds outdoors due to their aggressive curvature which seeminly never flattens out and talon-like toe point.

Fast but box was soggy and shoes appear used. Mad rocks sizing is too inconsistent I purchased a 9.5m drone 2 and couldn’t get my foot in, now that I’ve bought the 10 in the d2one they feel too big

Shoes are a bit tight on the pinky toe area. Overall a solid shoe, and medium stiffness is kinda not accurate. It’s a bit tougher than that.

Very good shoes. Comfortable and performance well. I sized it the same as the drone 2.0.
